Project Situation

Project Situation
An anhydrous ammonia leak occurred in the freezer warehouse of a Central California food processor. The cardboard boxes containing the frozen fruit wrapped in plastic became impregnated with an ammonia odor. BON CC-41 was diluted and fogged directly into the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) intake. The odor neutralizer was dispersed throughout the office building. A casino cruise line experienced odor issues from the 6,000 gallon wastewater storage tank on board. Project Situation
An accidental chemical spill took place in a 4-story NASA office complex in Florida. The incident took place on a late Friday afternoon and the building was evacuated. The chemical had been safely removed and the Industrial Hygienist had determined that the facility was completely safe to be reoccupied by the workers yet the odor still lingered. The building windows and doors were opened to circulate the air but the odor remained. The concern was that the employees would object to working in the facility due to perceived health issues. Project Situation

Project Situation
A county compost facility processes mixed solid waste into materials used for other purposes. The facility has an in-vessel composting system enclosed within a building. An anchovy fish processor in Baja California, Mexico is located adjacent to an exclusive beach resort. A non-profit organization is responsible for cleaning alleys in the downtown area of a major California city. A client's husband had a problem disliking the smell of his wife's permanent after each treatment. A skunk became trapped beneath a building at a school district facility in California. While the skunk was trapped, other skunks marked the perimeter of the building. The trapped skunk was rescued on a Thursday leaving behind significant odors. Project Situation
A California tomato and fruit processing facility had a discharge permit for 800,000 gallons per day to a 93 acre field. The processing load was expected to increase and a conditional permit was issued for 1,600,000 to 2,000,000 gallons per day. One of the strict conditions was to mitigate odors and receive no odor complaints.

BioWorld was contacted by an engineering firm that had recently taken over the project. A small wastewater treatment system was upgraded and the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Polymer Unit was functioning as designed but odors were a major problem.

BioWorld Odor Neutralizer BON CC-41 (Product #41064) was added to the DAF unit prior to discharge through the large Rainbird solid set irrigation system onto the 93 acres.

Results
The BioWorld Odor Neutralizer virtually eliminated all the odors from the wastewater when applied to the system. The facility ran from July to October. Several complaints were noted during a lapse in the addition of the BioWorld Odor Neutralizer during shift changes.

The BioWorld Odor Neutralizer exceeded all expectations of the engineering firm personnel and the management and staff of the food processing facility. The concerned people in the neighboring housing estates were also pleased with the odor mitigation technology that proved to be very successful.

Project Situation
During the grape crushing process at a California winery, the pumice and stems are laid out in windrows for composting. Wastewater from the winery collects in a sump and is pumped through a linear move irrigation system to irrigate the windrows. In addition, a spray rig is used to add water to the compost. Several products were added to the spray rig in an  attempt to help reduce odors, but significant odors still emanated from the compost windrows. A wood processing facility manufactures structure framing. During the process, waste water containing solvents collects in an evaporator and a vapor condenser. The remaining vapors are vented out an exhaust stack 15 feet above the roofline. Odor complaints from nearby residents prompted the local air district to require mitigation of the odors.
